WordPlay's summer programs immerse children and teens in multi-disciplinary creative experiences, giving them the space to read, write, create and connect with peers from around the city.
D.O.P.E. Writing Camp (9-12)

DOPE Writing Camp develops observant poetic expression through teaching the fundamentals of immersive storytelling. Boosting writing confidence through peer-led writing circles and writing in concert, this camp is an innovative way of combining radical listening and focused engagement to set the atmosphere for reaching writing outcomes. All writers will explore different genres of writing and forms of creative expression. Teen and adult writers will also look at social media content creation and the use of technology/AI (Artificial Intelligence) in storytelling. We will build a community that fosters the growth of writers, exposes them to various careers in arts, piques their interest, and compels them to find their individual artist pathway.
