WordPlay to move programming to new space in Northside: A message from our Executive Director
To the WordPlay community:
Thank you for being an important part of the WordPlay family this summer. We have a lot of exciting new opportunities for you to continue learning and growing with us once the school year starts up again in the fall.
In July, you might notice some changes in the building on the corner of Hamilton Avenue and Blue Rock Street in Northside. WordPlay is packing up our storefront at 4041 Hamilton and heading a few blocks north to Annette’s Place, an extension of Churches Active in Northside (CAIN).
We've had an amazing summer with WordPlay scholars and programs supporting storytelling in its many forms, from puppets and plays to drumming and dance. But Annette’s Place will be the new home for WordPlay’s creative programming this fall. Located at 4234 Hamilton Avenue, Annette's Place offers us closer connections to our community and more capacity to create distinct program offerings for YOU.
The best part? You don't have to miss a single session of WordPlay! Stay tuned via our website and social media pages for details about our opening celebrations and exceptional offerings for fall. We can't wait to see you at the new space—just look for the giant WordPlay pencil rocket across the street from our friends at the Northside library, and next to our friends at CAIN.
The continued support and encouragement of our friends, neighbors, partners and supporters in all forms makes this all possible. For that, we thank you.
